Where each Southern Section baseball team is projected to play in the postseason, based on the official CIF-SS power-index ranking. Updated weekly on Tuesday from the published rankings PDF.
Projections view applied. Top-16 ranked teams qualify for Division 1 automatically. For Divisions 2–9, a team qualifies if it finished top-3 in its league or as an "At Large" pick (sub-3rd league finish with a .500-or-better overall record). Each division accepts at most 2 At Large teams; excess at-large teams are dropped from the bracket and lower-ranked teams cascade up to fill the vacated slots.Surviving teams are then re-grouped into 32-team divisions in rank order.
League data scraped from MaxPreps for 414 of 457 teams. 176 teams removed by current rules. 16 At Large picks (sub-3rd but .500+, capped at 2 per division). 42 Unverified pending league-data backfill.
